A Zimbabwean local based writer and gospel singer, Letty Gavhure Chawira, has added her voice and platform for the inclusion of female musicians in big shows like their male Counterpart.
Speaking at the launch of her third album titled “Second Chance”, which was released lately, she added that female musicians are entitled to a second chance in the development of the arts industry because they have great potentials to perform a good act.
The 10 tracks album which features award-winning musicians like Reverend Chivaviro, Zaza and Ifeanyi have songs like, “Zvakadaro”, “Verenga Zvikomborero”, “Tichengete”, “MaTestimony” and “Ndirangarirei” among others.
Chawira said the album produced by Prosper Makonese of Promark Studios was inspired by societal settings and Bible verses and it symbolises the power of female gospel musicians.
