Camp Bubbles as Super Eagles arrive Asaba

Players are arriving the super eagles camp in Asaba ahead of Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in Johannesburg.

 

The latest arrivals are Galatasaray forward, Henry Onyekuru, Moses Simon and Ola Aina. For the early arrivals, they are Mikel Agu, Olamilekan Adeleye, Jamilu Collins and Enyimba goalkeeper, Theophilus Afelokhai.

Kenneth Omeruo, Bryan Idowu and Samuel Chukwueze are expected later in camp later on Tuesday.

The team is expected to train at the Stephen Keshi stadium and that will be open to the public, while the other training session from Wednesday will be behind closed doors and on Friday, the squad is expected to fly out to Johannesburg on a chartered flight.

The Super Eagles will seal qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations in Cameroon if the get all three points against the Bafana Bafana on Saturday. Nigeria missed out on the last two editions in 2015 and 2017.

Nigeria top Group E of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers with nine points, Bafana Bafana sit in the second position with eight points, Libya occupies the third position with four points, while Seychelles, with one point, are at the bottom.

The AFCON qualifier against South Africa will be played on November 17 and three days later, the Eagles will host Uganda in a friendly in Asaba.
