Nigeria’s federal government has promised to get justice for serially raped and murdered thirteen-year-old Elizabeth Ochanya.
This was as civil society groups took to the streets of Abuja calling on the federal government to live up to its responsibilities and prosecute the offenders.
The late Ochanya was the victim of continued sexual abuse from her uncle Mr. Andrew Ogbuja, a lecturer at the Benue state polytechnic and his son Victor Ogbuja, an undergraduate student of the federal university of agriculture Makurdi.
She died from complications arising from Vesico vagina fistula, common with under-aged girls in forced marriages.
