Richard Jefferson has retired from the NBA after 17 years in the game. He made the announcement via the social media.

Jefferson was a member of the NBA championship-winning Cleveland Cavaliers team, led by LeBron James in 2016.

He played for New Jersey Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, San Antonio Sponsors, Golden State Warriors, Uttah Jazz and Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets and Cleveland Cavaliers during his 17-year stint with the NBA.

He is set to pursue a career in broadcast journalism.
