Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov will wait until the 24th of October to know if they are to be indefinitely suspended following the brawl.
Nurmagomedov is likely to be handed the more severe sanctions after sparking the brawl as he jumped over the cage but McGregor followed suit and reacted physically, striking a member of Khabib’s team on the fence.
Bob Bennett, who is the Executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, said both fighters will be temporarily suspended for 10 days until the hearing is completed and Dana White, the UFC president, vowed that the fighters would not fight in the promotion again.
The Athletic Commission will wait for the results of the ongoing investigation before holding a vote to decide on their next course of action.
