There are plans by Manchester United to build gender-neutral toilets at Old Trafford.
The club’s head of security, Jim Liggett, disclosed this in a forum with the club’s fans, saying, “It’s something we are looking at as we are keen to ensure that Old Trafford continues to be welcoming and inclusive to all supporters; I will keep you posted regarding progress.
Our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion is important in everything that we do and we’re constantly working with key stakeholders, including Stonewall, on such topics.”
United has also announced plans to improve security at the stadium via the erection of “high-security hostile vehicle mitigation bollards”.
The end of the year has been scheduled for the completion of these works, this is due to the work minimized to phases so as to reduce the impact on match days.
