Manchester United’s coach, Jose Mourinho is confident his job is secured despite the club’s struggles on the field off play and his widely reported strife with some of his players. Following the 3-1 loss to West Ham United over the weekend, which marked the club’s worst start to a PL season, Mourinho’s future has been called into question.
At his pre-match press conference ahead of the Valencia UCL tie, Mourinho was asked if he felt his job was on the line, should results not improve, he responded, “No. I don’t think so. What I can do to improve things I do and I will improve the things that depend on me and my work.”
He refused to disclose if he met with United’s executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward following the West Ham United defeat, stating: “That’s a private matter. I’m not asking you who did you speak with this morning, who was your last phone call, that’s a private matter.”
