Three of the seven aspirants vying for the post of governor stepped down before the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, primaries began in Benue.
They are; Mr. Dave Iorhembe, Dr. Gabriel Nyitse, and Mr. Joe Iorapuu.
They all stepped aside for the progress of the party.
Gabriel Nyitse who wants the party to sustain its momentum for an exceptional outing in 2019, advised the PDP to ensure that party faithfuls are always recognised.
According to NAN, as of Oct. 1, the primaries have just four candidates competing; current governor Samuel Ortom, Mr. John Tondo, Felix Atume and Dr. Paul Orhii.
