Oil marketers have implored the Federal Government (FG) to as a matter of urgency pay the over N650 billion subsidy owed.

They say this will help prevent the banks from taking over their assets.
Executive Secretary of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association (DAPPMA), Olufemi Adewole, advised the government to ease the payment process.
According to him, a majority of the marketers are out of business, as banks have taken over their assets and properties because they could not pay back the loans they took; the others are barely surviving.
