Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero has signed a one-year contract extension to remain at the club until 2021. This new deal means he will remain at the club until just after his 33rd birthday.
He is City’s record scorer with his 204 goals and has won three Premier Leagues and three EFL Cups.
After signing his contract extension, he said:
I’m very happy because they have treated my very well since the first day I got here.
City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain said the Argentine international is at the “forefront of what we want to achieve in the coming years, we are fortunate to have had one of the best strikers in the world at our club for so many years,”
The 30-year-old had previously stated that he wants to end his career at former club Independiente in his home country of Argentina.
