ALLEGED HARASSMENT AND SHOOTING AT MOTORISTS IN IBADAN

Over the weekend, the Nigerian Army deployed some combat motorbikes to the boundary between the Yala LGA of Cross River State and Igbeagu-Izzi in Izzi LGA of Ebonyi State.

The combat motorbikes are to enable soldiers to get to some difficult terrain locations in both communities to ensure the smooth operation of the Army in maintaining peace and security.

The deployment of soldiers to the boundary location became necessary due to the boundary dispute between the two communities which started in 2005 and inevitably led to the death of an unverified number as well as the destruction of properties from both communities.
