Manchester City closes in on United with Club-record Revenues

The rivalry between Manchester United and Manchester City has been extended beyond the field of play to financial affairs as Manchester City becomes only the second English club, after rivals United, to announce revenues over £500 million following its record-breaking title winning 2017/2018 season.

Last season, City posted revenue figures at £473.4 million and today, released figures that showed an increase to £500.5 million.

Manchester City was the fifth highest revenue earner last season in the world and joins the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich who boasted revenues over £500 million last season.

For a fourth successive year, City reported profits – £10.4 million, its wage to revenue ratio stands at 52%.
