HSBC, a Global research unit, put together a report titled ‘Nigeria, papering over the Cracks,’ which has it that the prevailing economic struggles are going to be more fervent should Buhari get a second term in office.

They recounted the fact that his coming into power largely reflected the impact of the painful recession the country was plunged into from 2016 – 2017, along with a sustained economic hardship that swept through the entire nation, with the burgeoning joblessness and poverty.

According to HSBC, the nation increases the risks and chances on the already limited economic growth should Buhari land a second term, prolonging the stagnation and deterioration of the economy.
