Gunmen kill Catholic priest, one other in Imo State

Gunmen on Monday night murdered a Catholic priest, Rev Fr. Jude Egbuom, his passenger, and made away with his vehicle.
The incident occurred around 8 pm when he went to a barber’s shop on Anara-Nkwerre Road in Nkwerre town in the Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State.
Police spokesperson, Andrew Enwerem who confirmed the killings, said the police commissioner, Dasuki Galadanchi, had deployed the Tactical Unit of the command of the area.
Until his untimely death, Egbuom was in charge of St Patrick’s Catholic Parish, Amucha, in the Njaba LGA of the state.
