Former Cross River State governor, Donald Duke, says the unconstitutional zoning of political offices by his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party, made him leave the party for the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Mr. Duke, who submitted his nomination form at the SDP secretariat on Friday, said his decision came after deep reflection and candid assessment of the Nigerian polity.
The fifty-six-year-old said zoning of political offices, was unconstitutional and will limit the choices of leaders to only a section of the country.
