The National Football League’s (NFL) spokeswoman, Jocelyn Moore, has issued a statement wherein she supported Colin Kaepernick’s activism by stating that, “the social injustice issues that Colin and other professional athletes have raised deserve our attention and action.”
In a similar move, Serena Williams has hailed the ex-San Francisco quarterback as making a “powerful statement”. She commends him for what he has done for the black American community as a result of his activism.
The wave of support comes on the heels of fierce protests that have met with Colin Kaepernick as the face of the new Nike ad to celebrate 30 years of #JustDoIt.
