After being defeated in consecutive races going into F1’s annual summer break, Ferrari hit back in style as the season roared back into life in Belgium as Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel beat title rival, Lewis Hamilton in the Belgian Grand Prix to cut his lead to 17 points.

There was a multi-car crash incident which involved Fernando Alonso, Nico Hulkenberg and Charles Leclerc after Vettel rammed Alonso’s McLaren and launched it over Leclerc’s Sauber.

His compatriot Hulkenberg of Renault was handed a 10-place grid penalty for the incident. Sebastian Vettel overcame the setback to finish the race ahead of championship leader, Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes and Red Bull driver, Max Verstappen.

Defending champion Hamilton currently leads the standings with 231 points ahead of Vettel (214 points) and the second Ferrari driver, Kimi Raikkonen (146 points).

Lewis Hamilton expressed his concerns about the rest of the season as he feels like it will be a tough mountain to climb if Mercedes wants to win the championship this season as it seems to be clear that Ferrari has the fastest car in formula 1.
