Mali’s President, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, has won a re-election bid in Sunday’s heavily disputed run-off election.
Official results from the Ministry of Territorial Administration show Keita won with 67.17% of the vote.
The opposition candidate, Soumaila Cisse who got 32.83% of the vote had said on Monday that he would reject the results as he believed the vote was marred by fraud.
The victory gives Keita a second term in the mostly desert West African country where militant violence and claims of fraud by the opposition marred the poll.
