Twenty-two children have been confirmed to have drowned on Wednesday when their boat sank in Sudan’s Nile.
The SUNA news agency reported that the children were on their way to school.
Official media said a woman also died when the craft went under about 750 kilometres north of Khartoum with more than 40 children on board.
