Days after NBA great, LeBron James accused US President Donald Trump of fuelling racial divides in the United States, Trump responds.
In an interview on Tuesday which was repeated late Friday, James told CNN he believed Trump “is kind of trying to divide us. He’s kind of used sport to… divide us and that’s something I can’t relate to because I know that sport was the first time I ever was around someone white. You know?”.
According to Trump in a tweet, “Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, (CNN presenter) Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do”.
Trump’s comment ignited a huge response from James’ supporters on Twitter.
From linebacker Bobby Wagner of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks: “We got your back @KingJames Someone sure sound like they wish they was you.”
James, who is ranked seventh in career National Basketball Association scoring, also told CNN Tuesday he would “never sit across” from Trump, whom he accuses of giving racists the courage they now have to behave the way they do.
This is just the newest exchange in long-running hostilities between James and Mr. Trump.
Lebron James at 33 still not showing sign of slowing down. This time with the lakers is the last chance for him to win one more ring although he no longer needs to prove himself since he is already a legend. He is the best basketball player right now. But to win one more ring might need more help from teammates but his current teammates on paper is not what he needs. Lets just see what will happen on this season…
