Barely 24 hours after an attack on Jakana town by Boko Haram terrorists, Nigeria’s Army Chief redeploys top Military Commanders

The move is suspected to be a reaction to recent daredevil attacks by the terrorists on military formations in the North East of the Country.

The Nigerian government has in the past claimed that the terrorist group has been degraded and lack the capacity to carry out coordinated attacks, however, in recent times, attacks on military formations have been on the increase.

Boko Haram which when interpreted in English means western education is evil has waged an insurgency since 2012 killing thousands in the northeast and kidnapping hundreds, many of them women and girls.
