Members of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces and a convoy of army troops have been attacked according to the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdelwahid El Nur(SLM-AW) in Jebel Marra.
In the convoy which was attacked on the way to Golo, many officers were wounded and killed.
One of them was Abuzeid Mohamed Ahmed.
There has been on-going agitation in that region since early March this year with the Sudanese Militia attacking the region, vehemently in a bid to eradicate the SLM-AW sect in the region.
The war began tentatively in February 2003 when the Justice and Equality Movement group (JEM) and the Sudan Liberation Movement began fighting the Sudanese Government.
