Pastor Okapade Okunola has been declared the winner of the Accord Party primary election for the September 22, Osun governorship election.
Returning officer, Dokun Babarinde while announcing the results Sunday in Osogbo said, Okunola scored 141 votes to defeat the closest rival, Mr Babatunde Loye who got 58 votes.
Babarinde, who is also the South-West Vice Chairman of the party said 215 delegates were accredited, while 211 delegates voted and four others abstained.
In his acceptance speech, Okunola appealed for the support of the other contestants to ensure success in the election.
