Ogun state governor Ibikunle Amosun has ordered members of his cabinet to join in the clearing of debris that was caused by the flood in Abeokuta, He gave the order during his council of state meeting at the governor’s office Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Monday.
Commissioners, cabinet members, and relevant agencies have been deployed to join residents in various parts of the state in cleaning up the affected areas.
The governor had earlier gone to the affected areas on a physical assessment tour blamed the flood incident on the indiscriminate building of houses and dumping of refuse particularly along waterways and drainages.
