SERAP asks court to stop payment of Dariye’s ‘₦14.2m monthly salary’

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project have joined other groups to call on the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun to clear the air over the allegations of National Youth Service Corps -NYSC certificate forgery against her.

A statement on Sunday by its deputy director, Timothy Adewale, SERAP noted that speaking up would show a commitment to doing the right thing as a public official.

According to the group, failure to respond to the allegations would amount to a betrayal of trust and lead to public anger.

Meanwhile, the Presidency has written the NYSC demanding a thorough investigation of the alleged exemption certificate scandal involving the Minister.

Last week, NYSC said available records indicated that Adeosun did apply for an Exemption Certificate. It did not, however, disclose whether the Minister was issued with the Certificate.
