The Coalition of Observer groups and Civil Society Organisations, that monitored the Ekiti state governorship elections on Saturday, have rejected the emergence of Dr Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress as the winner.
The observers in a statement signed by Comrade Haruna Farouk and Nze Adachi Okoro inferred the election does not reflect what they saw on the ground.
The coalition also promised to release its findings on Wednesday, July 18, which will include details of the malpractices that marred the process.
INEC announced Fayemi winner of the polls, after securing 197,459 votes to defeat his closest opponent from the Peoples Democratic Party, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, who got 178,121 votes.
