A new head has been appointed for the Special Anti-Robbery Squad –SARS in Lagos state. Dolapo Badmos, spokeswoman of the Nigeria police force, zone 2 Command, confirmed the appointment of Chief Superintendent of Police, Peter Gana, for the position.
Gana’s appointment according to her was in line with the directives of Adamu Ibrahim, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, and Imohimi Edgar, Lagos Commissioner of Police.
The spokeswoman added that the appointment was part of efforts by the police to ensure professionalism and accountability on the path of SARS operatives.
