Grace’s ambition to convert the Mazowe Dam to a business empire has been crushed by the current Zimbabwean Government as the Mazowe Dam she acquired through political immunity while her husband, Robert was President in 2017 has been recovered by the Government.
The Dam, noted for being the 16th largest reservoir, encouraged a lot of recreational activities including fishing, canoeing and rowing which were banned by the ‘Almighty Grace’ after repossession of the Dam.
The privatization of the dam violated the Water Act which stipulates that water should not be privatised, controlled, apportioned, abstracted or stored.
