President Muhammadu Buhari while in Jos, Plateau state over the recent killings in different parts of the state, says the federal government is determined to bring an end to all of the violence in the state.
The President was received in Jos at a few minutes past 4 pm and went straight into a private session with relevant community representatives and top government officials.
Reports say a representative of the Berom tribe during the meeting, stated that the gunmen could be foreigners living with indigenous herdsmen who have lived peacefully in the communities for many years.
Simon Lalong, the Plateau state governor, called on the president to approve emergency funds to help rebuild the ravaged communities.
Meanwhile, Journalists were prevented from accessing the venue of the meeting which did not sit well with the correspondents.
Both the President and his Vice were, however, unable to visit any of the affected communities or victims in the hospital.
The President was seen off to the airport after spending a little over an hour in Jos and has since reached Abuja.
