Sen. Abaribe Gets Bail

A statement from Uche Awom, media aide of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, this evening, confirmed that the lawmaker earlier denied bail today has finally been granted bail.

The statement, posted posted on Facebook by Awom, said Abaribe, who represents Abia South Senatorial District walked to freedom after 5 days in the DSS detention. He was freed at about 6:32pm on Tuesday

Abaribe who was granted administrative bail was released to his lawyers led Chukwuma Machukwu Ume SAN.
He allegedly got home in time to watch the Nigeria/Argentina world cup cracker, surrounded by family and friends.
Speaking at the premises of the DSS facility in Abuja, Machukwu-Ume thanked Nigerians for standing up against the wrongs done to Nigerian democracy with the arrest of Senator Abaribe.

“The collective calls and demand for his release have shown the great spirit of Nigerians for justice”, he said.
