KADUNA INTERNECINE VIOLENCE: POLICE VOW TO FISH OUT PERPETRATORS OF ATTACK

A clash between members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) and Kaduna State police command today created panic among residents in the state capital. The clash caused traders to lock up their stalls for fear of attack.

PlusTV Africa gathered that the clash was sparked by an unsanctioned rally by members of the IMN, called to protest over the trial of the detained leader of the movement, Sheikh Ibraheem El Zakzaky, which is one day away.

Police said they were, however, were able to contain the situation and have deployed more men in specific locations all around the capital to ensure no breakdown of law and order.
