Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has been called upon to look into the recurrent annual fire incidents at the Ogbe-Ijoh market in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of the state, to prevent a re-occurrence.
The call was made by the national president of Delta State-based rights group, the IJAW Peoples Development Initiative, Mr. Austin Ozobo after the Friday night incident that razed no less than 1,000 shops at the market.
Ozobo further urged the state government, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, and the Warri South West council to provide relief materials for the victims.
