Enugu police commissioner, Danmallam Mohammed, has assured traditional rulers across the state of adequate security.
Danmallam gave this assurance at the police headquarters during a security interface between the police commissioner and members of the Nkanu West Local Government Area Traditional Rulers Council, Enugu State.
This meeting follows the murder of the traditional ruler of Ogbozine Akpugo, in Nkanu West Local Government Area, Igwe Stephen Nwatu, by bandits on Monday afternoon.
The commissioner who said the killing is an insult to the sacred traditional stool described the killing as unacceptable and barbaric.
He said the police is investigating and will fish out and prosecute the killers of the traditional ruler.
