Two people are currently being held hostage by a man in an office in central Paris.
Dozens of police are assembled around the building in the 10th arrondissement (district) in Northern-Central Paris.
The police have said it is not indicative of terrorism, however, they are trying to negotiate with the man.
According to a police source, the man had requested to communicate with the Iranian embassy to pass a message across to the French government.
