Rub-a-dub master and one of the veterans of dance-hall Reggae music in Nigeria, Ras Kimono, has been confirmed dead.
According to reports reaching PlusTv Africa, the Delta State-born artiste was supposed to travel to the United States of America on Saturday when he suddenly complained of not feeling too well. He was rushed to a hospital in Ikeja and later to Lagoon Hospital on the Island.
His death was confirmed by industry colleagues Sir Shina Peters and Tony Okoroji.
Ras Kimono shook the Nigerian music scene in the late eighties and early nineties with such tracks as What a Gwan, Under Pressure etc.
