Asia Argento, Anthony Bourdain’s Girlfriend, has described the late celebrity chef as brilliant, fearless and generous.
In a reaction to Bourdain’s passing post on her Instagram page (@asiaargento), Argento said Bourdain was her rock, her love and her protector and that she is beyond devastated at the news of his death.
While giving no hints as to her location before news of his death hit the media, she did send her thoughts to his family, asking that people kindly respect their privacy as well as hers.
In a related development, Bourdain’s mother, Gladys, who spoke to the ‘New York Times’ about the tragic death of her son, said he was the last person she would have ever dreamed would take his own life.
Gladys, a former editor at the Times, reported that lately, her son had been in a dark mood during the days that led to his death.
Despite having success and money beyond his wildest dreams, they just never seemed enough.
Anthony was age 61 when he passed.
