Kenyatta calls for investment in Agriculture

Some may call it good news while others might not, as Kenya joins the league of oil exporters in Africa as the second oil producer in East Africa.

Fears from some people couldn’t have gone without mention with cases of fightings and in some cases killings which have been recorded in some other African countries where oil is being produced.

President Uhuru Kenyatta spoke on the issue of unrest that arises from oil producing and exporting countries without mentioning names.

He said countries which have done a bad job at managing resources have had to suffer the effect of mismanagement as their people suffer from hunger and poverty and the president said they will work together and hope such does not happen in Kenya.

The president in anticipation of a new stream of revenue for the country flagged off four trucks ferrying crude oil to the Kenya Petroleum Refinery in Mombasa.

The trucks carried 156 barrels and Tullow Oil aims at producing at least 2,000 bpd.
