With just weeks to the national convention of the All Progressives Congress, its media sub-committee has announced that each candidate for the chairmanship position is to pay N500, 000 for each nomination form.
Ms Aderinsola Abiola, a member of the media sub-committee of the convention, said to journalists that the date of the national convention was moved from the previous date of June 2 to June 23, 2018, due to the Ramadan fast.
Ms Abiola said that for aspirants in the National Working Committee the nomination forms are going for N250, 000 each.
She added that for other positions, those contesting would only pay N100, 000 for each nomination form, and the positions have been zoned for impartial allocation, with the chairmanship zoned to the South-South.
As part of efforts to create a level playing field, Abiola revealed that women and people with living with physical challenges vying for any position at the convention would only pay half for each nomination form.
