During the graduation ceremony of participants in the Tactical Leadership and Command Course, TLCC, Ibrahim Idris, Inspector General of Police seized the opportunity to reiterate the importance of officers respecting human rights even in the execution of their duties.

There were 44 Chief Superintendents of Police who graduated from TLCC, which the IG said was one of the three consecutive courses offered by the college.

He said the course avails them of an avenue for the juxtaposition of the traditional approach to security and contemporary ways of handling same.

He also said the course gives an opportunity for thorough and comparative studies on isolated pressing and recurring security issues.

He, however, charged them, saying the course which they have successfully completed should be duly used in their various commands and formations, and further demonstrate their newly acquired knowledge in managing crime in the society.
