Etubom (Dr) Nya Asuquo, Nigerian Ambassador to Uganda says the state governors are responsible for the current hardship in the country and not the president.

In his opinion, while speaking to reporters in Calabar, he said charity begins at home. He said the question to be asked should be what the state has done in order to ensure that the people in Cross River State are gainfully employed.

He also said it is not the president’s responsibility to control the resources of the local government or the state, and should not be held responsible for the development of Etubom’s village while citing an example.

He explained that Buhari was into general politics for the whole country in order for the states and local governments to tap from it.

He, however, urged the states to do their best.
