MOSCOW INVITES NORTH KOREA’S KIM

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov visited Pyongyang for the first time in modern history, after which Lavrov used the opportunity to return the invite for Kim to visit Moscow.

 

According to AFP Lavrov told Kim that Russia would be very happy to receive him.

 

Lavrov also extended greetings from Vladimir Putin to Kim Jong Un as he wished him success in the diplomatic progress taking place in the Korean Peninsula.

 

Lavrov is now the first Russian official to meet face-to-face with Kim, according to Russian news agencies.
