Dino Melaye, Kogi state senator, has accused President Buhari of making demeaning statements of him and the National Assembly. He made this statement with regard to President Buhari’s statement last week where he accused the House of Assembly of indolence.
He added in his speech that President Buhari’s statement was not only “unpresidential” but also “unconstitutional”, and such statements cannot be allowed to go unnoticed. He forwarded a compact disc containing the statement to the House.
Melaye, an official member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), who had been recalled to the House, but asked to sit with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday, thanking them for their support through the trying times.
