Any hope of a truce between lyrically inclined rapper Pusha T and Drake has gone up in smoke, as the former’s latest work literally took Drake to the cleaners.
Pusha T, who is the president of G.O.O.D Music, a record label owned by Kanye West, released his album a few days ago, where he dedicated a whole track to ‘dissing’ Drake. The track, “Infrared”, fires direct shots at Drake, based on his “Ghost-Writers” allegations. Drake, who is known to always indulge lyrical word, didn’t let sleeping dogs lie, but fired back with a powerful lyrical attack called “Duppy Music”
Pusha T, on his own part, landed a few below-the-belt blows over a Jay Z beat for the song “the story of O.J”. He seemed to have murdered and buried Drake on this song titled “The Story of Adidon”, rapping based on facts only. He went from Drake’s dad leaving when he was just five, to him coming back into his life, to Drake’s mother’s loneliness, even down to Drake’s alleged porn star “baby mama” drama. He even went as far as using a picture of Drake with his face painted black as the artwork for the song.
This seems like the end of the discussion, as the song appears to have completely stripped Drake naked publicly. However, the entertainment world is waiting with bated breath for the next episode, if Drake has the nerves to respond.
