The standard bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to the forthcoming governorship election in Ekiti State,Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has resigned his appointment as Minister of Mines and Steel Development.
Fayemi’s letter of resignation to President Muhammadu Buhari was handed in three weeks ago, but takes official effect from today, May 30.
The APC flagbearer who won the rescheduled APC primary of the party on May 12,will be addressing a press conference concerning activities of Mines and Steel Ministry at 12:00pm today.
He is to face Governor Ayo Fayose’s deputy, Kolapo Olusola, amongst others, at the July 14 election in Ekiti.
