The Presidency said yesterday, May 28, that the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo’s meeting with members of the new Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) who claim they are being left out by the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), went well.

The nPDP members are unhappy with President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC for allegedly sidelining them.

The Nigerian Tribune reports that Prof. Yemi Osinbajo held the closed meeting at his official residence at the presidential villa, Abuja.

According to NAIJ.com the faction, formerly part of the PDP, was instrumental during the 2015 elections, in getting the APC to power; hence their grouse with the APC.

The Vice President’s senior special assistant on media and publicity, Laolu Akande, while confirming the meeting with nPDP members, told the Nigerian Tribune that the nPDP would be meeting with President Buhari following the meeting with the Vice president, without specifying when.
