Ecobank were big winners on the night in South Korea, as it bagged two awards at the African Banker’s Prestigious ceremony, held at the Paradise Hotel in Busan.
The awards received were its recognition by South Korea as being the best retail bank in Africa and for employing enhanced service model.
While praising the banks’ services, Omar Ben Yedder, Publisher of African Banker, said Ecobank has had a game-changing year and, most of all, has embraced technology also paid dividends.
The Group CEO of Ecobank thanked the organisers of the award for the recognition as the best retail bank in Africa. He promised that the bank will continue to ensure that they provide state-of-the-art technology for their customers.
The bank has also recorded a 40 percent increase in customer numbers in 2017. it hopes to grow that number significantly by the year 2020.
