CELEBRATING MANDELA ON AFRICA DAY 2018

In celebration of the Nelson Mandela Africa Day Centenary, President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa is giving the main lecture at an event in Durban.

Africa Day is celebrated each year on May 25. it was instituted in 1963, of the same day, to commemorate the establishment of the Organisation of African Unity, now known as the African Union.

Across the world, particularly in African countries, various events are held to celebrate the day with a theme or focus annually.

This year’s 55th Anniversary will focus on Nelson Mandela and his legacy.
