Governor Abubakar spoke this afternoon at the Villa in Abuja, after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
The state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Nuhu Gidado, on Wednesday, officially resigned from the Mohammed Abubakar government, following somewhat many believe to be irreconcilable differences with the Governor.
Gidado, who also doubled as the state’s Commissioner for Education, officially said he was resigning because he had lost the zeal to continue in the administration.
But an aide who did not want to be mentioned had told Plus TV Africa that the problem may not have been unconnected with the 2019 elections. Gidado was one of those Abubakar beat to the APC governorship ticket in the primaries for the 2015 election.
