Fifty bodies have so far been recovered after a Wednesday boat mishap in Momboyo, Northwestern Republic of Congo.
Richard Mboyo Iluka, vice governor of Tshuapa Province, revealed 49 bodies were recovered on Thursday while another one was discovered Friday.
A team is currently investigating the cause of death, however, the boat had no lights and had flouted the government safety measures by moving at night.
The boat is said to have been transporting heavy goods and passengers from Monkoto to Mabandaka.
