A roadside bomb has exploded in a Turkish village, with two guards killed, and three others injured. The bomb exploded in an area on the Turkish border with neighbouring Iraq and Iran.

The Turkish military has responded with air strikes, in a bid to find out those responsible for the attack. Suspicions have fallen on the Kurdistan Working Party, but this is yet to be confirmed.

The militia guard, which is responsible for protecting villages has shown its support for the Turkish military in its fight against the Kurdish Working Party.
